The challenge continues

In Western Australia, 2010 is almost a replica of 2009 with sales still down 15% on the seven year average.

Despite this, WA Planit has not only maintained market share, but has actually improved against our eastern states based competitors. With tighter times, a regular presence in WA for companies based on the east coast would tend to challenge their expenditure budgets.

Our regular “Next Step” seminars have proved to be a big success. They have been focused in tight geographical locations with seminars being held in Wangara, Kelmscott and Malaga. The next one is scheduled for Bullcreek. These very informal get-togethers provide an opportunity for existing and prospective customers to network over a few eats and drinks and take a look at what’s happening with Planit software. The seminars also provide a segment to help customers with issues or development queries that may arise. These seminars have proved very popular and will continue to be held throughout 2011.

Late in 2010, WA Planit will be relocating their office to Balcatta. This new location provides easy access off the freeway and is more central to a large proportion of our customers. Announcements will be broadcast soon.

With the advent a new “low cost” CNC machines into the market, we are starting to see a new type of player in the high tech arena. Many one or two man cabinet making companies are realising that at these prices, CNC can be a reality. When the cost of a CNC machine and software is less than employing a cabinetmaker – they stop and think about the opportunities.

Planit’s range of entry level CNC solutions that start from as little as $15,000 is ideally placed to service this market. The beauty of the Planit offering is that the software can “grow” as the needs of the business mature – and there is no price penalty in doing it in stages.

Early next year, when the new Customer Care program is launched, WA Planit customers will be presented with the opportunity to participate in a total service package that will be second to none. We can’t wait to tell you all about it.
