Kris is a member of our Services Team at Planit & is either out & about doing training & integrations on-site or helping our customers via tech support calls or stepping people through our extensive in-house training classes.
For those who haven’t met Kris, he was born in Sutherland hospital in July, 1980 to Australian parents of mixed British, Irish and Finnish ancestry. Kris grew up in a lovely part of the Sutherland Shire (yes the “bubble” continues) and has lived in Yarrawarrah his whole life until recently. He attended Yarrawarrah Primary School and Caringbah and Engadine High Schools. Kris completed his apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery at Budget Stairs and has mainly worked in the building industry. In 2002 he went to live in Edinburgh, Scotland with his brother Michael for 2 years where they had a fantastic time. After coming home and working for 3 years in the staircase game, manufacturing, quoting and installing, Kris felt the need to travel again so in July, 2007 he packed up again and went travelling to Scotland, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Ireland before settling in Cork City on a year’s working Visa. It was after a month of living there that he met his girlfriend, Vivian, an American also working in Cork in the recruitment industry. They travelled alot, visiting various friends around Europe and Ireland. Vivian followed Kris back to Australia, where they now call home renting a house in Sydney’s Inner West.
Kris has alot of hobbies....apart from the typical Australian obsession with all things sport, he enjoys travelling, photography, hiking and camping along with nerdier passions of geography, linguistics and history.
Short term goals are to spend Christmas in Boston (Vivian’s hometown).
Baby Elliot Whinnen
On Monday 26th of July at 6.48am Lisa and John Whinnen had their first child, a boy named Elliot David John Whinnen. Weighing 3.6 Kgs or 8lbs 2oz in the old system, he definitely took after John for size.
Lisa’s labour started the night before meaning John had to miss the Hungarian Grand Prix and the Master chef finale, but Looking back on it now John tells us “they pale into insignificance now”.
Like his Mum, Elliot has blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. John notes “With big hands and feet, he will make a perfect centre half forward for the Adelaide Crows in approx 20 years (remember that name)”.
John & Lisa are now experiencing the sleepless nights which John tells us no-one warned them about but it only takes one smile to make it all worthwhile.
The Whinnen family, John, Lisa and Elliot
Elliot moments after being born. John’s red eyes are a combination of lack of sleep and tears of joy!
Congratulation to John & Lisa.
Baby Kirra Clarke
Louise & Steve celebrated the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl Kirra Louise Clarke.
Weighing 7 pounds (3.1 kg) & 48 cm long, she was born on Friday 23rd July at 12pm.
Lukas (Kirra’s big brother -2 years old) welcomes his baby sister and Louise laughs as she tells us “In between kisses & hugs while Mummy is watching, there has been love bites, ten pin bowling pins at her head, eye pokes and some serious wrestling maneuvers during Kirra’s tummy time”.
Congratulation to Steve & Louise.
