It's hard to believe that we are 3 months into the year. We would like to welcome all our customers in Western Australia to the Planit Newsletter. See our story below on some exciting changes happening in the west.
In this month's newsletter, we feature some important information about Microsoft Windows XP, celebrate John Hayter's retirement and feature our latest solution.
Important information on Windows XP
Microsoft, the developers of Windows XP have officially announced that as of April 8th, they will no longer be supporting and releasing updates for Windows XP. If you are currently using Windows XP, it is important that you contact your IT company, as this change may affect multiple aspects of your business.
Our software follows Microsoft's product road map, which means with this announcement, any further product releases will no longer be supported on Windows XP. So it will be important for you to have updated your computers before the next release.
It is important that all our customers begin to think about the different aspects involved with your operating system. If you need any assistance, please contact our Help Desk on 1300 716 932 or you can view our minimum computer specs by clicking here for Cabinet Vision & Cabnetware or Alphacam

The End of an Era
Datapro Pty Ltd was established in 1985 by John Hayter, who was determined to find a leading edge computer system that would enhance the operations of the cabinet making industry. Since their humble beginnings Datapro, now known as waPlanit, has lead the way in providing solutions to businesses as the distributor for Cabnetware, Cabinet Vision and Alphacam in Western Australia. John's hard work and passion has certainly made a significant contribution to the cabinet making industry in Western Australia.
However, John has made the decision that after many years in the industry, that now is the right time for him to retire. John, supported by his wife Wendy, have been loyal advocates of Planit and our software brands. As John enters this next chapter of his life, on behalf of the whole Planit Community, we would like to wish John and Wendy all the best in the next phase of his life.
Changes for Western Australia
With John's retirement, Western Australia will be incorporated into the Planit Cutting Edge Solutions business and existing national framework. Continuing his role with a new title as Territory Manager for Western Australia, Alan Gibson has joined our Planit Team. Feel free to contact Alan at any time to discuss your current or future software needs.
By being incorporated into our existing national support service, you can be reassured that support is available, giving you peace of mind. This will include incorporating all current customer care contracts and ensuring all training is fulfilled. “In the end, all business operations can be reduced to three words:
people, product and profits. Unless you’ve got a good team, you can’t do much with the other two.”
