Creating a Custom Render View Tool Bar

How to add a Custom Render View Tool Bar to Simplify Changing of Display Modes in Cabnetware.

Have you ever found it to be confusing or slow to change the display style when viewing a rendered Elevation or 3D View? If so, use this method to create a Custom tool bar with the tools you frequently need in one spot. This tip is valid for Cabnetworks, The Detailer andThe Designer. It also has some utility in the Case Planner programs.

First, open a room design. Choose View – Toolbars from the Main Menu.

Next, select New and provide a name for the custom toolbar. I called this one Render.

Select the Views Toolbar on the right and click on the Render tool and click on the left arrow to add it to the Custom Render toolbar. Do the same with Birdseye if desired.

Choose OK and OK again to close the toolbar dialog.

Now choose the Render Icon or choose Render from the View menu.

When the render view is displayed, choose the Line View icon.

Now choose the View – Toolbars menu choice again. Select the Custom Render toolbar you previously created and click on Modify.

Select the Main Toolbar on the right and scroll down to the bottom icon. Select it and move it to the custom Render toolbar with the left facing arrow.

Choose OK and OK again to close the toolbar dialog.

Now, choose the Render Icon or choose Render from the View menu.

When the render view is displayed, choose the Smooth Shading icon.

Choose the View – Toolbars menu choice again. Select the Custom Render toolbar you previously created and click on Modify.

Select the Main Toolbar on the right and scroll down to the bottom icon. Select it and move it to the custom Render toolbar with the left facing arrow.

Repeat the procedure to add the Textures icon.

If you have PhotoVision, repeat the procedure to add the PhotoVision Full , or, Ray Traced icon .

Finally, you should have a toolbar that is similar to this: Note that all the icons will be highlighted and active only when you are in a 3D Render view.

If you are on an Elevation or Cabinet view, the toolbar will appear like this:

Finally, you can ‘Dock’ the toolbar on the side, top or bottom of the Cabnetware window where it will remain until you move it or turn it off.

Now, when you are viewing an elevation or a cabinet, a simple click on the toolbar will allow the display to change to a line view, a filled view or a textured view. If you are viewing a 3D Render, you can simply click the view type of your choice. Other tool icons can be added as well. View Floor Plan, Elevation, Cabinet or Smooth Lines may be useful.
