Planit Customers meet at Airlie Beach Qld

More than thirty Planit customers from as far away as Cairns, Toowoomba and Brisbane converged on the Whitsunday’s haven of Airlie Beach on the 7th and 8th of September 2009 for a Business Dinner and Showcase Seminar. All functions and accommodation overlooked the Abel Point Marina with most staying at Peninsula Airlie Beach and sharing some of the best apartments they had ever seen.

Internetit, the Queensland reseller for Planit, created a platform where business owners currently benefiting from Planit software could network, engage in discussions on overall business topics and learn about the release of Cabinet Vision Version 5, Manager Software and BenchEzy for Alphacam.

The formalities started with a welcome and thank you address by Jeff Chapman, followed by a Speed Networking session where all the attendees participated in a 30 second rapid fire “Sales Pitch” of themselves to each other to allow not only for introductions, but also to set the tone for the following days.

This was immediately followed by a Business Dinner. Included as part of this dinner the customers were supplied a list of business questions that they would like to be discussed over dinner, to hear how others handled different business aspects. This list was developed anonymously by the attendees prior to arriving. The discussions were active with many good comments coming out and everyone learnt something new from each other. All participants have been sent all of the answers generated as a record of the different ideas put forward.

The next day was the Showcase of new product and new direction, where the morning was covered by presentations on the three software products on display and the afternoon was opened up to a free technical session on each product. Everyone showed a keen interest in these presentations and they were impressed by the new features that were demonstrated. The technical sessions allowed users to explore areas of the software they do not normally have the time to investigate, accompanied by a lot of note taking.

At the lunch break, again overlooking the marina, the business discussions kept flowing.

“The results of this Showcase Seminar have far exceeded our expectations. The networking between customers, the learning that has gone on and the support of the new versions has been tremendous. When customers ask when the next one is, you know that they have benefited from their time.” said Jeff Chapman from Internetit.
